OpenAI GPT-Live-1 API — Event History

Official API changelog: Oct 15, 2026 GPT-Live-1 gained native Decisions integration (delegation and input/output transcript delta triggers). Oct 16, 2026 prompt-to-voice became available to all API customers: create reusable custom voices from text descriptions for free; GPT-Live speech remains billed at $0.05/minute and backend usage separately. Nine additional German/French/Hindi/Japanese/Korean natural voices were released. Capability expansion only; no native price change.

Initial canonical baseline for GPT-Live-1 API. Front-end full-duplex voice layer is priced at $0.05 per minute and billed per second; backend model and tool usage are separate. Classified as Serverless because pricing is time-based rather than token-based. This is a NEW event, not a price change.
