Cloudflare Workers Standard — Event History

Workers runtime updates now allow existing requests and connections to drain for up to 20 minutes, versus 30 seconds previously. Announced October 12. Per-process grace period, not a guarantee. No change to native Workers Paid price.

New canonical resource: Workers Paid Standard has a $5/month account minimum with included request/CPU quotas; Worker Previews launched 2026-09-22 as a material capability addition, without a pricing change.

Python Workers reached general availability. Python is now a first-class supported language in the Workers runtime with native Cloudflare bindings; FastAPI, Django and Flask are supported, and AI libraries including openai, langchain and mcp can run natively. This is a capability change; no native price change was inferred.
